I am not sure why I'm doing this...
Hello everyone. I used to spend all of my free time in high school and early college creating websites and graphics on my computer. It's a hobby that I've found myself missing over the years. I've felt burned out as of late, and uninspired. It's been difficult for me to make anything, and I feel like I've forgotten how to be creative.
Today's internet is very different from what I experienced when I was young. Social media was just a fun outlet for self expression. Now it's a soup of ads, AI slop and political arguments. I need a spot away from that. Even if it's juvenile, even if no one ever reads or sees any of this. It is my hope that coming here to unwind will help me to remember what it feels like to be inspired. We'll see I guess.
Since I love lists, I'll throw this here as a reminder to myself:
- Create an about me page (nothing crazy, just a place for all of my lists and things)
- Create a space to make pixel art including trinkets/toy boxes, dolls, and blinkies
- Create a reading list/watch list/play list
- Give myself a place to put all of my ramblings, spells, etc.
- Give myself permission to just enjoy this and not make it great; just make it for myself.
I truly have no idea what I want to do with this space other than play around with code and remind myself that I actually do remember how to do literally anything. I'll probably end up deleting all of this. But in the meantime, this will be my little corner to create. Wish me luck. I'm going to need it.
